Most businesses and entertainers have given very little consideration to their mobile web presence and/or really don’t have any idea why this is becoming an essential piece of the pie. “I have a web site what do I need this for?”

By 2013 more people will use their mobile phones than pc’s to get online -Google GoMo

The quick answer is to accommodate your customers, clients, fans and readers. It’s so nice when you visit a site on an iPhone or Android and not have to pinch, zoom and scan for the info you need. Nicks most requested page is his schedule, so that is the 1st thing people get when visiting his site on a smartphone. His mobile landing page is his 2nd most viewed page on his entire site!

For a small local shop I would put prominence on phone numbers, directions and hours and/or have a newsfeed or blog be present.

For Il Palazzone, a Brunello and Olive Oil vineyard, we did some really cool stuff with QR codes on bottles and a full custom mobile mirror read more about it here!

Visit nickdip.com, ilpalazzone.com, oxfordgreens.com, spinnakerapartments.com, bikramyogashelton.com, grilloservices.com, modacapellisalon.com, ryanjohnsalon.com, wsalonwestport.com, lunastratford.com, and bakermedia.com on both your PC and your smartphone to note the differences. Mobile is limited to a one column view and there is little room for fancy and heavy design. You deliver the information a mobile user probably wants first!

Having a mobile website does not mean getting another website, it means you have the same website with the same pages, posts and content with a mobile “skin”. Please contact us if you would like a mobile friendly website “mirror”!
